The committee of Community services of the College of Pharmacy (Girl's Section),Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University in cooperation with Social Cultural Center of the Military Industries Corporation, Al-Kharj conducted a health workshop on Wednesday, 4/3/1439 H. The workshop dealt with two important lectures and corner for the measurement of Blood Pressure and sugar levels for the audiences who was present in the workshop. The first lecture was about the "Importance and principles of First aid" delivered by Dr.Dina Allam. She talked about first aid, why a person should do first aid, what is wound injury, Coma, drowsiness and sunstroke. She also explained about Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The second lecture was about Diabetes its types, symptoms, types of therapy and some advice by Ms. Esraa Al-Othman, Pharmacist. The lecture gave a lot of insight into the disease of types of Diabetes and its treatment strategy. By the end of the workshop, the audiences were screened for the blood sugar and Blood pressure levels. The spectators were very happy and welcomed many such lectures like this and Head of the cultural center also appreciated for such an informative workshop.
