The Master of Clinical Pharmacy program at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University is designed to enhance the professional competencies of pharmacy graduates in the clinical field. The program aims to comprehensively prepare graduates with in-depth knowledge and essential practical skills, enabling them to excel and innovate within the evolving and dynamic healthcare environment. This comprehensive program integrates rigorous academic coursework with hands-on practical training, equipping graduates for diverse roles in clinical pharmacy practice.
Students begin their educational journey with a full academic year comprising a broad range of courses covering advanced therapeutics, medication therapy management, research methodologies and biostatistics, hospital pharmacy management, applied pharmacokinetics, personalized medicine, seminars, and elective courses. These courses are carefully designed to deepen understanding of disease management, healthcare delivery, and health outcomes, all grounded in evidence-based practice and scientific research methodologies.
The second year is dedicated to clinical training, consisting of four core clinical rotations in internal medicine, primary care, critical care, and infectious diseases, in addition to four elective clinical rotations. This structured plan ensures that graduates are well prepared to contribute immediately and effectively to the healthcare sector. Each student benefits from personalized mentorship provided by practicing pharmacists and academics recognized for their scientific and professional contributions.
