The participation of students from the College of Pharmacy was recognized with the SIPHA 25 Innovative Research Idea Award during the International Conference of the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society (SIPHA 25), for their research project titled:
“Bioinformatics and Network Pharmacology Analysis of the Molecular Mechanism of Antibiotics-Induced Henoch-Schönlein Purpura in Children.”
The research was conducted by students Lina Al-Abdulaali and Moneera Al-Fatimani, under the supervision of Dr. Mubarak Al-Amri. It focused on utilizing bioinformatics tools and network pharmacology to explore the molecular mechanisms underlying the occurrence of Henoch-Schönlein Purpura (HSP) caused by antibiotic use in children.
