On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the College of Pharmacy at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University organized a pharmaceutical event and exhibition to celebrate World Pharmacists Day. The event was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College and attended by several faculty members from the male campus. It came as part of the College’s efforts to raise awareness of the role of the pharmacy profession and its humanitarian and scientific mission in serving society.

The accompanying exhibition included a variety of scientific and awareness booths that highlighted the diverse fields of the pharmacy profession and its modern dimensions. The Forensic Pharmacy booth introduced the pharmacist’s role in analyzing biological evidence and supporting investigations, while the Genetic Pharmacy booth showcased applications of personalized therapy and precision medicine based on genetic foundations. Another booth focused on Pharmaceutical Supply Chains, illustrating the journey of a medicine from manufacturing to patient delivery and the importance of ensuring its quality and availability. The Pharmacoeconomics booth addressed methods of evaluating the effectiveness of medicines in relation to their costs and their impact on healthcare systems. Together, these booths presented a comprehensive picture of the pharmacist’s multifaceted contributions to humanity and society.

The program also featured a series of speeches and presentations, beginning with a welcoming address by the Dean, followed by a speech from the Student Council. It also included an overview of the history of pharmacy, a presentation entitled “A Journey into Innovation”, and concluded with the “Pharmacist’s Impact” segment, which highlighted the pharmacist’s contributions to the community.

This event served as a rich platform for networking, exchanging experiences, and exploring the latest developments in pharmaceutical sciences and the pharmaceutical industry. It also contributed to bridging theoretical knowledge with modern practical applications. Through this event, the College of Pharmacy reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the role of the pharmacist as a cornerstone of the healthcare system, while keeping pace with innovations that advance pharmaceutical care and improve quality of life.
