The College of Pharmacy organized an orientation session for its new students at the start of the academic year, with the aim of preparing them for university life and familiarizing them with the regulations, policies, and academic services available to them. The session sought to empower the new students to embark confidently on their academic journey.
The event began with a welcoming speech delivered by Dr. Manal Alossaimi, Dean of the College, who introduced the college’s vision, mission, and objectives, while emphasizing the vital role pharmacy students play in serving the community and the healthcare sector.
Following this, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ahmari, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, spoke about students’ academic rights and responsibilities, stressing the importance of adhering to university regulations and the college’s commitment to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
The session also included an overview of the Academic Advising Unit and its role in providing guidance and support throughout students’ years of study. Additionally, department heads presented the academic courses offered by the college, highlighting the importance of utilizing this stage to develop scientific and research skills.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing students to raise their questions and concerns in an atmosphere that fostered communication and strengthened the bond between students and the college.
