Ms Salha Adhaj a social activist from Women Development committee, Yamama gave a lecture on “Volunteerism a gate to entrepreneurship” in the presence of the Dr Hanan Albalwi, Vice – Dean, College of Pharmacy [Girls], Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University, Al –Kharj, KSA on Tuesday 28/02/1440 H.
The lecture dealt with the concepts of voluntary work, to identify areas of volunteering, the responsibility of a volunteer etc. Ms Salha also clearly added the meritorious role of volunteering like turning responsible, committed, confident, handling or battling in hard situations etc.
Most simply defined, an entrepreneur is a person who identifies a need and starts a business to fill that void. But this basic definition provides little insight into the specific character traits and attributes that make a person thrive as an entrepreneur. The specific character traits can be achieved when a person becomes a volunteer where he/she can clearly identify the society needs the market etc to own his / her own business.
The talk of Ms Salha Adhaj was interesting and helped everyone to create their own characteristics and identity in their respective fields. The lecture was well appreciated by all the staffs of the College and listening to it promotes the positive energy inside everyone who attended the talk.
